Source: eNCA South African police have arrested two people, including Dr Nandipha Magudumana's 65 years old father, over the weekend in connection with the escaped rapist and murderer, Thabo Bester. The suspects are believed to have aided and abetted Bester's escape from lawful custody.
Bester and Magudumana were apprehended in Tanzania just before they crossed the border into Kenya. A Mozambican national was also detained with the pair. The South African police worked closely with their Tanzanian counterparts and Interpol to make the arrests. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected. The police cannot confirm the route Bester and Magudumana took out of South Africa, and they are currently in Tanzania, awaiting their return to South Africa.
